Generation Next Athletes of Tomorrow (aka G.N.A.T.) is a local, community based soccer club that has organized youth & adult soccer teams for Holland/Springfield Township and the surrounding area since 2003.

The Club is most commonly known by its acronym (G – N – A – T) or by GNAT (sounds like the bug).

Our teams currently compete outdoors in the North West Ohio Youth Soccer League (NWOYSL) and indoors at the Maumee Soccer Center.

We play our home outdoor games at Community Homecoming Park on Angola Rd. in Holland, OH.

G.N.A.T. is currently affiliated with the Ohio Youth Soccer Association North which is Northern Ohio’s state affiliate to the US Youth Soccer Association.  We’re also affiliated with US Club Soccer a national affiliate to the United States Soccer Federation.

Our colors are Black & White.  However, we are easily recognized by our B&W “bumble bee” socks.

Our training philosophy is dedicated to developing individuals to their fullest potential.   The foundation of our training is an emphasis on individual skills (ball control) and teamwork (possession).  Our training incorporates small-sided games which provide each player more technical opportunities to make tactical decisions that affect the flow of play and the outcome of a game.  Competitiveness is encouraged.  Sportsmanship is expected.  And WINNING…it is a byproduct of training and the mastery of position, possession, space and pace.

GNAT is supported by an all volunteer and dedicated staff of coaches and managers.  Our coaches and managers file annually for Risk Management certification (KidSafe).  Coaches are encouraged to part take in continuing their soccer education and training.   All have at least completed a NSCAA Youth Module.  Two have completed their USSF State “D” licensure.  And most continue to play actively themselves both indoors and out.
